Empathizing
We identified the area in the economy in which we wanted to solve our problem. We made progress in defining our problem and writing a brief. After the process, we began to ideate by creating a mind map and dumping random ideas. Eventually, we began to create assumptions, and then we settled on a particular problem identified. This problem was to build trust between the customers and the clients. We conducted interviews and generated 200 solutions to the problem. Then we settled on using the mobile platform as the best solution. Here are the insights we synthesized.

Defining the Problem
We extracted specific questions from a list provided to identify the current problems consumers faced while accessing workers from the informal sector. We segmented our interviews to focus on five stakeholders including the traders, workers taskforce, politicians, social workers, and users. Our research focused solely on the responses gotten from the consumers and then we drew out the problem statement.
Building a Customer Persona
To get a firm grasp of who our customers, we created a customer avatar. We built a fictitious profile of an informal worker and a user. We sought to identify behavioral and buyer characteristics to determine how our target customer will behave and act. We focused on demographic information, backstory, goals and motivations, roadblocks, and special information.

Design Justifications
As we all brainstormed about the design ideas, we were intentional about the specific features we wanted our app to have. These features included among many, Trust, Ease of personalization, valuable, Ease in communication, These unique words guided us into making informed decisions on how to go about designing the app.
01. Trust
The major problem we identified in the informal sector was a problem linked to trust. Most users will prefer to patronize established businesses because of their experiences with workers in the informal sector. Our app has ratings, past work experiences and user profiles to help build the customers trust.
02. Ease of Personalization
Our product provides the opportunity for users to create accounts and also fund their accounts as how they deem fit.
03. Ease in Communication
The prototype also have special designs that allow the user to reach us the bridge between the informal sector through calls, texts and social media.
04. Valuable
Our design is valuable because it seeks to solve identified problems in the economy and gives jobs to artisans, craftsmen who would not have to work for meagre pay.

Presentation
The pitch day was set for the 16th of July 2021, where my team and I participated collectively in presenting our findings and prototype to the judges, the coaches and the rest of the fellows. Each team member handled a section of the pitch to show our collaborative effort in making the presentation successful. Please find attached to this file the link to the slides presentation.
Lecturers Comments
You did a fantastic job with your presentation and pitch. It was fantastic to watch your group unite as a unit. You did a great job improvising when there were technical difficulties. Your prototype, too, illustrates and brings your concept to life! It would have been fantastic if your trust solution took into account more image galleries. Your user requires evidence that they can rely on your solution.
